6-27 update
Gardens look so poor !!! We are watering, but have to be careful to not run the spring dry.
We've been eating tomatoes since the 4th of June or so. With the salmonella/tomatoe scare, we are very glad to be able to have our own. I am not sure how many plant we have in the front garden, but I counted the back garden this morning and we have 75 tomatoe plants out there !!!
It's been too dry, I was not able to save most of my pepper plants and they died due to heat and drought. I have a few hearty plants that still look nice and I've got "late" seeds in soil.
A late batch of tomatoes is up really nice, I hope I can keep them wet enough to keep them happy !!!
Wild Blackberries are just about ripe, we've picked a few of the plants that I bought from Stark's last spring. I'd love to get more plants from them !!
We are now about 20 inches short on rainfall since Jan '07 !! Lawns look like it's Aug already !! Grass is getting crunchy ... hay fields are not producing much.
